Spatial Computing Explained

Spatial Computing has changed the way we live our lives. It is one of the biggest developments in Information Technology. What many people don’t realize is just how much it affects us on a daily basis. In order for one to understand how Spatial Computing works, one must first gain a clear understanding of how all the computers in our world work. If we were to take a world map, for example, we would see that our houses sit in a particular place, while our cars appear in different places depending upon where they are traveling to or from.

Spatial computing works the same way. Spatial computing utilizes physical location to transmit and receive output and thusly interact with a computer. By interacting with virtual objects, we no longer physically interact with computers as an outside third party would.

Currently, there are several different technologies that are currently available that represent Spatial Computing. One of these newer technologies comes from augmented reality technology. Augmented reality headsets allow individuals to experience the world from the eyes of the experts. They utilize high-resolution video cameras so that they can capture moving images and panoramic views. With the help of high-speed wireless Internet connections, users are able to access augmented reality websites that feature everything from Google maps to the Eiffel Tower.

Another type of high-tech headset that makes use of Spatial Thinking is the ux design system. The ux design system was created by Neven Balaban, who is the head of information technology at Cisco Systems, Incorporated. Neven developed the ux design because he wanted workers at industrial companies to fully experience industrial-grade 3-D animation. He discovered that companies were spending thousands of dollars on travel expenses just to have their staff visit a website that showcased a short animation. By utilizing the technology provided by ux design, employees can be up close and personal with the animation, saving not only money, but time as well.

Spatial Thinking headsets are also being used by the military. Military planners use the information provided by Spatial Computing to improve tactical missions and operations. By using this technology, military planners are able to view all current and future battlespace; they are able to see how operations are changing in the field and even find out if other forces are taking part in the battle. In addition, the US military uses Spatial Computing to determine the location and relative location of friendly and enemy soldiers.

Spatial thinking headsets such as those manufactured by Cisco provide the military with the ability to visualize real-time images that come from any location in the world. Cisco has created a new tool known as the Meta Channel that allows companies such as Cisco to integrate their information with the Meta Data protocol of the internet itself. This allows for real-time data to flow between networks and computers without the use of extra hardware or networking devices. This allows for a Spatial Computing system to leverage the power of the internet for data sharing in order to provide users with a seamless and fast way to map, analyze, and act upon the information.

Spatial thinking headsets provide a great way for businesses to utilize the power of the internet for saving time and money while in the process of running their business. Not only does the headset allow a user to view information from anywhere in the world, but it also allows the user interface to change based on the location of the user. For example, a certain location can change its shape, size, and/or color depending on the time of day or what company logo is being displayed. Another cool feature of Spatial Computing is the ability to display 3D animation, maps, and virtual reality.

In order to fully utilize the power of Spatial Computing, one must first be able to visualize the world in a understandable and workable fashion. To do this, a user must have a mental model of how the world works and where it exists in relation to their current surroundings. By properly modeling the physical processes involved in seeing the world, humans are able to create an interface that allows for easy interaction with their computer systems. Although some individuals are visual learners, more companies are introducing text-based interfaces in their spatial computing systems in order to give their employees and customers the most fun and fulfilling experience when using their computers.
